How to share a server directory with NFS?

After specifying NFS client, YaST2 halts:

Killed processes '/bin/bash /sbin/yast2 nfs' with kill -9 #id

One directory _is_ shared? Local directories were created. One as user. One as root?

Umounted everything. Made directories myself. Manual startup cd /etc/init.d; ./nfs restart:

mount: RPC: Remote system error - Connection timed out

YaST comes with client message (after long time)
