How do I create rounded corners using Gimp?

- Cool Solutions: Gimp Tips Part 2: Rounding Corners
- Two methods for creating rounded corners:
- Via { Script-Fu | Selection | Round... }
- Via { Select | Shrink... } followed by { Select | Grow... }
The first method isn't available in my menu of Gimp-2.2.17 on Windows, so I'm heading for method two.
